Discus and support slow network speed on win 10 . lan to harddisk in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; using ethernet via Verizon router to copy WD NAS disk to USB 3 Seagate disk via win 10 laptop w541.     slow network speed on win 10 . lan to harddisk


    using ethernet via Verizon router to copy WD NAS disk to USB 3 Seagate disk via win 10 laptop w541.

    Speed of copy is very slow. goes up and down a little bit. 2.42 MB/s and lower to KB/s.

    these are large video files. have tried many tweaks and no luck?

    Disk to disk via USB 3 works fine.. just network speed disk copy is terrible

    All latest drivers and win 10

    Help?

    File transfer speeds over LAN network (wired) - very slow, random

    Checked Netbios is enabled , not on Default ? (on all PC's on Win 10 , it seems to be an issue for some)

    Also if Jumbo Frame is Enabled and your Router or the other PC can't use it , it will cause issues like this . EVERY DEVICE on the LAN MUST Support JumboFrame if you use it. ie my C7 ARCHER can't.... everything else can....

    I appreciate you efforts in troubleshooting the system issue.

    I suggest you to please follow the below steps to fix the network issue:

    • Press Windows logo key + X key, and select
      Command prompt (Admin).
    • Type netsh winsock reset and press
      Enter.
    • Type netsh int ip reset and press
      Enter      .
    • Type ipconfig /release and press
      Enter      .
    • Type ipconfig /renew and press
      Enter      .
    • Type ipconfig /flushdns and press
      Enter      .
    • Restart the system after performing above steps.
