Windows 10: Volume issues when I plug/unplug headphones/earphones from audio jack

So when I'm watching videos or playing music on my laptop with the headphones/earphones plugged in before I it on, the volume is just as it should be, but when I unplug it, speaker volume is reduced even when it's at 100% and if I plug back into the jack, the output from my headphones/earphones is also reduced even at 100%. Things don't go back to normal until I restart my PC.

How to change device when plugged into the audio jack?


Whenever I plugged in my earphones, the notification would pop saying "You just plugged a device into the audio jack" With this, a window would pop up saying what kind of device I had plugged in and would give out the options: headphones, earphones, headphones with microphone, etc.

I clicked on headphones with microphone and ticked the box "don't show this message again". But now, whenever I Skype with someone, they can hear the videos and music I'm listening too even with my earphones plugged in.

How do I change the device from headset with microphone to just earphones? How can I make this pop up window open up again whenever I plug something into the audio jack? How can I change the settings?

audio/mic jack


i have a windows tablet with a dual headphones/microphone jack.
i plug in a pair of earphones with a built in mic, the audio does come through the earphones but the mic is not used. the mic on the tablet is still being used.
how can i get the mic on the earphones to work?

 

Audio Jack issues for windows 10

When i plug in headphones or earphones into the audio jack, the audio was not playing through the earphones. It is not even showing that some audio device is plugged-in. When i plug in headphones, the speakers sound was playing but it is not playing through
earphones/headphones. My headphones are perfectly good. I have uninstalled my audio devices and their software. Later on, i updated their drivers and their software too. But still the problem continues. I cannot hear the audio through my headphones. I have
been using windows 10. I have been using Realtek audio devices on my laptop.Can anyone tell me the solution for this???
