    Wireless Xbox Controller Adapter for PC


    Yesterday I got a custom NZXT PC in the mail. I connected my Xbox One elite controller through the Bluetooth adapter and played successfully all day. Today, It would not connect to the Bluetooth adapter and I tried tons of things i found online which includes restarting, removing device w/ restart, different usb ports, using an extender for the adapter, and also deleting the drivers for the adapter and re downloading them. Nothing worked. I just went to Best Buy and purchased a new adapter, and still, it is not working. The adapter is blinking, the controller is blinking, but they aren't connecting to each other. The controllers Bluetooth is fine, it has connected to both my Xbox and my brothers Xbox so it seems to be a computer issue. Help would be very appreciated.

    I appreciate your time and patience to work on this issue. To have a better clarity on the issue please reply to the following questions:



    • Are you using an Xbox one controller?


    If you are using an Xbox one controller, I suggest you to refer the steps in the article

    How to connect an Xbox One Wireless Controller to a Windows PC     and see if that helps in resolving the issue.



    I would also suggest you to uninstall all the hidden devices under USB hive and check if you are able to connect the wireless adapter. Please follow the steps mentioned below to uninstall the hidden drivers:



    1. Press and hold the Windows + X key on the keyboard.
    2. Select Device manager.
    3. Click View tab.
    4. Select Show hidden devices.
    5. Expand Universal Serial Bus and remove all the greyed out devices. To remove the greyed out devices, right click on the device and select
      uninstall.
    6. Restart your computer.

    Xbox One controller w/ wireless adapter on PC

    The Wireless Adapter is plugged into the front of my PC, within maybe 2 feet. Nothing blocking it. No metal in the way. Again, this is for PC Xbox Wireless adapter and Xbox One Controller.
