    WiFi faster in flight mode


    I have had issues for several weeks whereby in normal mode my wireless on a Dell E7450 gives speeds of 200-300Kb/s (measured using fast.com) however if I switch on Flight Mode and activate WiFi I get 75Mb/s.

    This is 100% repeatable across multiple access points.

    I have tried switching off Bluetooth and running normally i.e. no in Flight Mode, the result is the same. I have deleted the WiFi drivers and reinstalled them yet the issue remains.

    Any suggestions what may be causing this issue?

    I am running Win10 1909 build 18363.752

    Wireless not installed but Flight Mode Option available

    @Syed Md Bilal - Flight mode button is still active and displayed in Action Centre without having a Wifi or any other Radio i.e. BlueTooth installed on this machine. Not clear why this would have anything to do with LAN Network

    adapters but your suggestion did not make any difference for the record.

    Hi,

    It seems that your phone's software is corrupted, that's why the Flight mode goes back to on every time. Just to know more about this, please answer the following questions:

    • Which Windows version is currently running on your phone?
    • Are you getting an error message or code?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

    i can't turn on wifi in flight mode

    hi,

    when i'm in flight mode i have the option on my lumia 620 to turn on wifi seperately through the settings/wifi menu. even though it then looks like it's turned on in the menu, i still cant find any wifi networks. only when flight mode's off again i get them
    popping up instantly in the wifi settings.

    in the flight mode settings i get the impression though that wifi should work as normal , when turned on after entering flight mode.

    does anyone else have this issue?
