  1. Win10 Disable Focus assist completely within User Profile

Is anyone familiar with the settings for focus assist on Windows10 and how to dictate them for users logging on to the system? Or is it not possible to forcefully set these variables? We have a customer who would like to have all focus assist settings disabled by default. Are there any registry settings that can be set during logon to force these? We have not found any solution to set the "Automatic Rules" section to default: off for the local system or the user who logs on to said system. There does not seem to be a policy available to accomplish this feat, either.

Had same issues for Notifications On/Off --> fixed by adding a registry key in the default profile on the system. Users log on with a local profile.

    Any tips?

    Unable to disable Focus Assist

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I do understand how frustrating it could be when the features are not working as they are supposed to work. We would like to know the troubleshooting steps that you have performed so that we can eliminate the recursion of the steps.

However, as you have mentioned that Focus Assist gets re-enabled automatically after disabling it. This issue may be due to a profile corruption. Hence, in order to eliminate possibilities, I would suggest you to create a new user account, disable
Focus Assist and check if the issue persists. Follow the steps from the article
Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10
to create a new user account.

    Hope it helps.

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.

    Questions about Focus Assist

Thank you. Could you give me examples of Windows system notifications and can all of them be disabled? So, if I turn off the "get notifications from apps and other senders" setting I don't even have to disable other notifications' settings which remain turned on?

What if I turn off notifications and Focus Assist, may I still have any notifications?
