Something similar to xp's Folder Options File Types? Must affect standard users

Is there anything besides FileTypesMan that can do something similar to Windows XP's "File Types" tab in Folder Options?

The problem with FileTypesMan is twofold.

It requires elevation, and then it edits things for that admin account, NOT the standard account I'm trying to edit things for.

The file type I'm trying to edit .mobi doesn't even show up as defined in the admin account, only on my standard account.

I'm trying to set up .mobis so that I can right click and choose whether to open them in Calibre or read them in an e-reader program.

This was a cinch under XP, but not so much with later versions.

I recall I had a similar problem with movie files under Windows 7 obviously using different programs, but I can't recall what I did to get around it as it was a long time ago and I can't find my old posts about it might have been on the Win7 forums rather than Microsoft forums. I wanted to hide movie files from showing up in the recent list, and FileTypesMan did it easily for the admin account, but not my standard account. Not that it matters since that feature has been removed with the downgrade to Windows 10.

    :)

Generating a .txt based file list in Windows 7

I want to be able to generate a .txt file that lists all the files and folders in a specific folder on my PC, but don't know the name of any programs that do that. Searched on google a bit and came up with this guide, but it's for XP and I can't seem to find some of the folder options to modify the .bat file. Any suggestions? Thanks

    http://www.theeldergeek.com/file_list_generator.htm

EDIT: The .bat file will do what I want if it is in the folder I want to do it in, but the option I want to add is having the right click option that it shows.

Need some restriction of my standard user in my PC

The easiest way to restrict a standard user from accessing the files of another user account is by ensuring that the files are saved to the
C:\Users\<AdministratorUsername> folder or the %userprofiles% folder. If a standard user attempts to access the files from the said folder, by default, it would instantly prompt for the administrator's credentials in order
    to access it.

If you wish to put restrictions on a specific file, you may follow the steps below:

    • Right-click on the specific file and choose Properties.
    • Choose Security tab.
    • Click Edit.
    • Choose Add.
    • Type the username, click Check Name and then, hit
      OK.
    • You can now manage the restrictions for the user profile, under Permissions for <username>.
If you wanted to set a restriction on the Local Drive, follow these steps:

    • Double-click This PC.
    • Right-click on Local Disk (CSomething similar to xp's Folder Options File Types? Must affect standard users :).
    • Choose Properties.
    • Select Security tab.
    • Click Edit.
    • Choose Add.
    • Type the username, click Check Name and then, hit OK.
    • Set the level of restriction for the said drive.
