  1. Windows Explorer is Very Slow

    Hello everyone,

so yesterday my PC and power supply was off when the light went off for 1-2 minutes. Then when the lights came back on I went to my PC play Minecraft. I turn on my PC and everything is normal until I logged into the user. My PC specs are:

    Ryzen 7 2700x

    16 GB of 3200MHZ RAM

    RTX 2070

    a 550W PSU from CORSHAIR

    Gigabyte B450 AORUS M Motherboard

    Samsung Evo 970 m.2 500GB

    1 TB HDD

Then when I enter my password, my PC takes a very long time to log in. Obviously I'm used to very quick times for logging in and all of that because I have a M.2. So then I wait and finally it logs me in. But nothing responds. On my old laptop that was very slow it would log me in the user not load any of the icons not even the background. Then it would load everything in. But my PC loaded the background the taskbaronly the windows logo and the searchbar but all the icons were white. I try to click on the taskbar but nothing happens I just get the blue circle mouse cursor and really fast the windows explorer ends the task and starts it back up again. But it wont fix anything, all it changes is that it lets me open the start menu. So then I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and everything in that menu loads up furiously fast. Then I restart my PC and everything goes back to best really fast. So then I continue with my day. Today though it was different. Since we are in quarantine I had a meeting. So I turn on my PC and its the same thing. Nothing loads up except for all of the things I mentioned before. So logically I do the same thing I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and again everything loads up very fast. I reboot but it's the same thing. Very slow while logging in and almost nothing loads up. So then into safe mode. Everything loads up beautifully there. So I disable fast start up, stop all the programs from loading in Task Manager, and reboot. Everything loads up great. I check for Windows updates, and installed them. When my PC restarted and did everything for the updates I log in but it's still awfully slow. Nothing changes, so I I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and restart it again. Same thing. Then I restored the system in a restore point where everything was running great. I do that everything goes amazingly. Then I booted into Windows and sadly it's the same thing. I restart and it's loaded up correctly. I take advantage of that and make sure that Fast Startup is still disabled. I also do sfc/scannow. There were corrupt files and it successfully fixed them. I reboot but unfortunately it doesn't load properly. I restart it then it loads properly. Then I have no other ideas of what it could be so I shut it down and just continue with my day. Anyone got any ideas why this happens and how to fix it?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows Explorer is Very Slow

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?

Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).
