  1. 100% Disk Use - I have delved into every corner of the internet and cannot solve this!

My harddrive is a HDD 7500RPM.

Constantly and inexplicably I get 100% Disk Usage spikes. There is no single process or program associated with the disk usage. It spikes with all sorts of programs.

I have tried literally every fix online short of downgrading to a pre-2018 windows10. I have disabled superfetch, every firewall, automatic update, and countless other processes suggested online, every single one. I've edited my pagefile size as well. And yes, of course, I've scanned for malware. I have every background process, gaming setting, etc, turned off. Anything I can turn off, I have.

I see this problem online everywhere. Some people claim upgrading to an SSD fixes it, but then I see users with SSD's experiencing it.

I'm tempted to just try and downgrade to Windows 7 somehow at this point. Is there any insight in 2020 into this? I have a computer with a good CPU and GPU and it runs worse than most discount laptops due to this disk usage issue.

  4. 100% Disk Use - I have delved into every corner of the internet and cannot solve this!

How to solve 100 % disk usage in windows 10 after fall update?

    Hi Manikanteswara,

Usually, a virus could be the main cause of 100% disk usage. The first step in rectifying the problem is to check your disk usages. You need to open the Task Manager and take a look at your disk usages to identify the programs or applications that are causing
your hard disk 100% usage. Here's how:

    • Type task manager in the Windows search bar and select the best match.
    • In the Processes tab, look at the disk process to see what is causing your hard disk 100% usage.

Kindly send a screenshot, so I can take a closer look.

Hoping to hear from you soon.
