Windows 10: Calendar crashes when opening existing event

Hi, When I open an exising event to view or edit it, the Calendar app crashes and just evaporates. I've tried updating and troubleshooting but nothing worked. I reset the Calendar app in Settings but still get the same problem. Calendar version is 16005.12624.20212.0 on Win 10 Pro on PC. Any help is appreciated.

If your Google calendar can't be synced with the Windows Calendar app, then follow the below Microsoft article.

If the issue persists then, I suggest you to uninstall the apps which came inbuilt with Windows 10 using Windows PowerShell and reinstall using Windows Store. Follow the below steps.

• 
  Open the Start menu, type Windows PowerShell in
  the search bar.
  
• 
  Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Enter the below command to reinstall the Mail and Calendar app.
  

get-appxpackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | remove-appxpackage


After performing the above steps, install the Mail and Calendar app form the Windows Store.

Delete All Events in Calendar

lacrumb - Thanks for your quick input. I think performed the steps correctly, but events are still there. Maybe I should give a little more info. I never sign-in to my Microsoft account, I use a local login on the machine, when I created the events
- I just went to the Calendar app and clicked "Continue to Calendar" imported a year's events (exported from GCal). They all populated fine. Since this was a test, I wanted to delete them all. Once I did the reset you suggested and opened the Calendar app
- I got the add account pop-up like everything was deleted, so clicked "Continue to Calendar", once it opened all the events were still there. Any ideas?

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
