  1. I want my audio perpherics to show up in the windows default audio manager instead of just...

    The context:

Hi, I use a laptop computer rog GL703VM-BA195T that came with preinstalled audio drivers,
the realtek one to be precise.

    My problem:

The thing is, every time I want to switch audio devices, I need to seek for the right panel through the windows ones and the realtek ones, and so on...
And I can't just use the windows default audio manager because it shows me the output of the realtek audio manager replacing the physical devices:

sorry for the french interface, also don't mind the CABLE/voicemeeter/Nvidia/Oculus devices, I want to keep them

thrust me, it truly become a nightmare each time I plug another jack/hdmi in my adapters and realtek tries to reconfigure everything.

    What I want:

I would like to manage all my audio devices from there instead of the realtek manager for the physical devices,
it isn't a problem if it require to uninstall the realtek drivers in the process

I do have tried a lot of things, but I never succeeded at doing that, I would greatly appreciate any help/inputs.

Thanks in advance, JOLIMAITRE Matthieu *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Rear audio ports always show as “Not plugged in”

I've been having this issue with Windows for about a week now which NONE of the back panel/front panel connectors (speakers, microphone) are being recognized by Realtek audio manager. The only audio input/outputs that are showing are the optical.
Troubling shooting steps I've tried (none worked):

    • COMPLETELY uninstall all Realtek drivers/reinstall
    • Tried using windows drivers
    • Reinstall Windows 10
    • Upgraded chipset driver
    • sfc /scannow
I called EVGA and asked for RMA but then I booted into a Ubuntu OS and all the ports work FINE. It must be a problem with windows 10.
Can you think of any other troubling shooting step I can try to fix this annoying issue? Thanks!

After looking in Device Manager under Audio inputs and outputs, I don't see any speaker/microphone listings, only the optical crap:

  3. Audio Problems

Hi there SimonWildZX, I will be your Independent Advisor for today, I hope we can both resolve your problem.

May I suggest to completely uninstall all Audio drivers listed in the Device manager including the headset. Please make sure to completely remove.

Here is how to do it.

Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10.

    Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Sound and Audio devices. Right-click the problematic device and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You may need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

    Step 5. Reboot the computer.

Repeat the steps in all the Audio devices listed.

Then reboot. then test the headset again.

Microphone audio is distorted when I listen to audio playback in Windows but fine in Realktek Audio Manager

    Hi Marc,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community and being part of Windows 10.

I understand your concern about accessing the sound on your device.

Do let us know the make and model of your device?

I would like to inform that there will be same drivers for audio from motherboard and sound card. Windows will have basic audio drivers for the operating system (Realtek).

Try few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run Audio troubleshooter.

    • Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
      Troubleshooting and select it.
    • Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
      Troubleshooting window.
    • Select the Audio options from the list.
    • Click Next to run the troubleshooter.

Step 2: Uninstall and Update the driver.

I suggest you to uninstall the existing driver and update it.

    • Right click on the Start button from the desktop and select
      Device Manager.
    • Expand Audio inputs and outputs, right click on
High Definition Audio Device and click on Uninstall.
    • Restart and Windows will re-install the
      IDT High Definition Audio driver
      .

Also, if you find the latest drivers you can install them manually on your device.

Hope it helps. Reply to the post with an updated status of this issue for further assistance.
