  1. Random 10GB file without extension

I was looking in one of my own created folders, and I saw this file named s2jo.

No extension at the end. When I tried opening it, it gives me a variety of options Notepad, Visual Studio, etc. but they all can't open it and give errors like "File can't be found."

I tried deleting this file but it just says:

Could not find this item. This is no longer located in the path where I found it. Verify the item's location and try again.

I don't know how I'm supposed to verify it's location.

When I right click the file, then Properties, it says the Size is 0 bytes, but when I go to Details, it says it's 10.4GB. That's kind of alarming for some random file that takes up 10GB.

It says it was created on 3/27, and modified 6 minutes after creation. I don't remember what I was doing at the time, but I'm pretty sure I was on my computer at the time.

I searched up what to do with a file with no extension, and when I searched it up, I heard I should use a Hex Editor, so I got Freeware's Hex Editor and when I try opening it there, it says:

    .s2jo

File not found. Check the file name and try again.

So now I came here, asking what I should do with this random s2jo. file.

    :)

  2. File extension *.docx

    Hi Randy,

To change the file extension when saving a document in Word 2013, you may follow the steps below:

    • Click on File; then, select Options from the list.
    • In the Word Options window, choose Save.
    • Under Save files in this format, select *.doc from the list.
    • Hit OK button to confirm and save the changes.

If ever your Word 2013 application is not recognizing the changes you have made, you may restart the application; however, if the issue still persists, we suggest that you repair it. To do this, see this
    link.

We would appreciate it if you could get back to us and provide us your feedback.

  4. Random 10GB file without extension

Your Firefox extensions are all disabled? That's a bug!

Thanks for the reply. I tried deleting LastPass, re-booted my computer, started Firefox and then re-installed LastPass as you suggested. I signed in to LastPass and then shut down Firefox. When I restarted Firefox it signed in to LastPass automatically so that problem remains.

And the Tools/Add-ons/Extensions list remains blank although now if I right click the LastPass icon in Firefox it takes me to the top position in the Extensions list (previously LastPass was #4) - so it seems Firefox isn't displaying the entries in the list but knows which ones should be there and their positions.

I never noticed a problem with extensions during this recent Firefox issue and the only obvious problem now is the automatic sign-in to Lastpass and the blank extensions list.

Update: The Extension list appears in Firefox's SAFE mode so it looks like my profile is damaged. Haven't had this happen before, could be random or something to do with the recent update....
