    Tried a Windows Insider build, didn't work all to well, went back, now the same build is...


    Pretty much the title. I recently tried a Windows Insider build, but it didn't work out, so I went back to the previous Windows version. Now the same build is bugging me in Windows Update and I can't seem to shake it. I tried to turn off Windows Insider but now it says "You may continue to receive Windows Insider builds until you restart your PC" or something like that. But whenever I hit Restart now, it shows the loading icon, then says "Can't connect to the Windows Insider service, check your Internet connection and try again." or something like that. Thanks in advance.

    1 - Before Mcafee I didn´t have any anti-virus application. Also, I didn´t installed Mcafee in May 2017, it was already installed since 2014. My subscription is available until June 2018.

    2- No it wasn´t offered by windows update.

    3- You are correct and I also have tried Windows Update but it is not working.

    4- This update is not listed on hte update history.

    Is it possible to install build 1607 manually using KB4022723 (OS Build 14393.1378) from Microsoft site?

    Insider build previews

    Because you are running a Windows Insider Preview build, you might be seeing defects or bugs in the build you are using, which is still under development. I suggest you use the Feedback Hub to submit a bug report detailing your problem.

    You should only run Windows Insider Builds for testing purposes, not for production.

    I recommend you revert to a commercial build such as the recently released Windows 10, 1803 revision.

    Go to a working computer, download, create a bootable copy, then perform a clean install.
