  1. Computer troubleshooting/advice?

So I booted up my computer today after about 12 days of inactivity. Everything seemed fine, itunes tried to update and I told it to "never check for updates" in the update pop up window, it asked for permission to write to computer and I granted it. Shortly after it crashed and gave the blue screen of death. Error code was kernel security check failure. I shut it down and restarted, nothing happened. After one or two more tries it booted up again and it did something wierd. It said it was fixing c: drive. It ran through fixing phases and started. Then after like 10-15 minutes it froze and I had to power it down again. Now I'm trying to get it to turn on again so I can troubleshoot.... Any ideas on how to fix this mess. What do i do and how can I fix this?

  2. Windows 10 infinite restart black screen

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

    New FF - passwords

    Hi:

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode | Firefox Help

    • Please report back and let us know the outcome, as it will dictate the next steps.
    • Also: please tell us what AV/AM/firewall programs are you running on this system?

    Thanks,
    MM
