    Hi,


    So I'm trying to take a screenshot on anything, be it an app or a game or anything, either with print screen or the snipping tool, but both convert the image colours to something else. I don't know what happened.


    It was fine until yesterday when I got a new monitor. I can't see how the monitor will impact the screenshot really, but that was the ONLY change.


    I am using the awful and buggy windows update that everyone is having issues with, but until yesterday my screenshots were fine.

    So this is what I mean. The border around is gone, the image is washed out and there is practically no colour. I don't know what is happening...

    I wonder why nobody has suggested the OP to make a screenshot of display showing these "washed out colors"? Everything I have read in this thread suggests that the issue is not in Windows, but instead in display / monitor.

    My suggestion: next time you'll see these washed out colors, make a screenshot and post it here. If the screenshot shows us that colors are OK, then the issue is your monitor failing.

    Washed out colours after display sleep

    I have the problem of washed out colours after power management turns the display off. This PC has Nvidia 7050 chip, Nvidia no longer support this, so win 10 has installed Microsoft basic driver, which is a step forward as previous builds just said this
    pc is not compatible.

    Also I have set the display turn off time to never, will this also stop the PC from going to standby/sleep?
