  1. With nothing running except for Chrome, my 8GB Ram is almost occupied. "Service Host"...

I have restarted my system several times but within few minutes of restarting the Service Host processes start eating my PC's memory. I checked on my other PC and found that the number of these processes is quite similar however the memory usage is the difference. I checked on another PC and found that each Service Host process is using a maximum of 30MB memory while in my system each process is taking atleast 100MB.
I already disabled the superfetch process but it turned to be of no help. Interestingly, I also noticed a significant reduction in the free disk available in my SSD mounted. Without downloading or saving any new files, by end of day I lose almost 100 MB of space. This comes back when I make use of chkdsk function in command prompt but then again, this is not usual.

So any help for the above two mentioned problems, high memory usage and Disk space disappearing on its own, will he highly helpful.

    :)

    Windows 10 64bit , Service Host Local System occupying 1.5GB - 2GB RAM , is this normal ?

Since last week this service host local system is occupying about 1.5GB of RAM sometimes..

its a collection of services like windows update management, task scheduler, IP helper and so on... of about 20 others.

I dint notice this before as I never ran out of RAM ..

I have a 8GB DDR3, and I noticed I ran out of RAM when I was playing some highend games. only to realize that the serive host had occupied almost 4GB at that time.. I killed it and proceeded playing game nothing unsual happened.

So my question is this normal? This doesn't happen always but say like atleast once or twice a week.

Windows update and Service host process

    Hi.

    Can anyone tell me:

    • Why is the process 'Service host: Network Service, Delivery Optimization' running constantly 24/7, hogging 30% of processing power and how do I stop it?

    And

    • Is this somehow linked to the fact that neither windows 10 update or its trouble shooter appear to be working? windows 10 appears to be permanently checking for updates.

I'm Running a brand new HP laptop, i5 processor and 8Gb Ram with windows 10 64bit (1903). This has only started happening in the last week or so

    Thanks
