  1. File explorer squishing out and graphical glitches.

Built a new PC last month.

    New items:

    Ryzen 3600x
    ASUS 5700 xt
MSI MPG X570 Gaming PRO Carbon WiFi Motherboard
    G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB 2 x 8GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600
Samsung 970 Pro Plus Nvme 250gb

    Reused items:
    5TB External HDD
    1TB WD blue HDD
    100gb Ocz SSD
    650W power source.

So here's my problem. Built the PC it ran great. Had some BSoD issues when I first got the 5700. Fixed it. Couple weeks later I started playing Paper mario with the high resolution pack. Left it minimized and took a nap for 2 hours came back to the emu glitching and spazzing out. Closed it and restarted. Opened file explorer and have a problem with that glitching out. All the icons get squished as well as the File Ex being all white when I hover the mouse over the icons again spazzing in and out at times. This happens all the time even after restarting my PC.

I've reinstalled bios for MB. Drivers for GPU. And started my PC over brand new several times again reinstalling everything. I've reinstalled windows 10 on different hardrives and it's still doing it. I just replaced my GPU and you guessed it same thing is happening. Is it possible I'm being a moron and overlooking something super simple?

    :)

  2. File Explorer Visual Glitch

    Hello,

Let us isolate your concern by answering the questions below:

    • Have you made any changes to the computer software prior to this?
    • Have you tried to select a different file outside the File Explorer window to check if the issue persists?
In the meantime, we suggest that you perform a clean boot and check if the issue persists. If performing a clean
    boot
on your device resolves your concern, it means that a third party software is causing the issue. We suggest that you uninstall or disable them. The steps on how to perform a clean
    boot
    are provided on this link.

We are looking forward to your response.

File Explorer Icons Short and Squished?

    Hi Brandyn,

One of the possible reasons why this issue occurs is due to a corrupted device driver. This can also be caused by software conflicts. We'll need to gather a bit more information to better identify what's causing this. Kindly answer the following:

    • Have you tried booting your device in safe mode and check if the issue is the same?
    • What is the version of your graphics driver? To check its version, follow these steps:
    • Click Start
    • Type Device Manager
    • Click Display Adapters to expand it, right-click on your HD graphics, then select Properties.
    • Under Properties, click the Driver tab to check the version and information about your graphics driver.
Meanwhile, we'd like to check if there are available driver update. To do so, kindly follow the steps on this link.
The article will be able to provide you step by step instructions on how to check for any driver updates.

Please post back with the result.

    Graphical(?) glitch happening, windows 10

    Hello Shado,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I request you to try the following steps:

Uninstall and Reinstall the Graphics Card Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Graphics Card
    Drivers

    • Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.

    • Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

    • Search for the Graphics Card
from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
      from the computer.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Step 2: Go to the Computer or Graphics Card
manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the
Graphics Card model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.

I hope this helps you. If you have any further query in future, feel free to contact us. We will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.
