Windows 10: Can not login since 19041.84 No reply from FeedbackHub

The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in

user profile cannot be loaded

This issue started since Feb update and still exist now.

This issue affect multiple users. Just search "User Profile Service" in feedback hub will find them.

I tried multiple way to workaround it:

1. Update system using latest insider slow ISO -- same result.
2. Creating a new user and update from windows update -- same result.
3. Update to later combo update -- same result.

Only way to workaround the issue:

uninstall last quality update .

Last known working build is 19041.21



This issue will hit live channel when 2004 update went live. We need someone from Microsoft look at this issue.



My event log have this event during failed login:

Windows was unable to load the registry. This problem is often caused by insufficient memory or insufficient security rights.



DETAIL - Access is denied.

for C:\Users\MikeTest\ntuser.dat



looks like they mess up the user data file permission

Can't login to new computer w/Windows 10

  Are you able to login to Microsoft Account on Web?

  Have you installed any language pack?
  

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Lock vs Login screen screenshot

Hi Josey -

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!

 

Cortana is not replying to any of my questions

Logout and login into Cortana using a Microsoft account and check if the issue is resolved. Follow the steps below to logout and login into Cortana on the computer.



Step 1: To logout of Cortana, follow the steps below:

• Click on Cortana icon located next to Start button on the Task bar.
• Click on Notebook located at the left panel of the Cortana Window.
• Click on About me and select the Microsoft account you are currently logged in into.
• Click on the user account displayed in the window and select Sign out.

Step 2: To sign in into Cortana, follow the steps below:

• Click on Cortana icon located next to Start button on the Task bar.
• Click on Notebook located at the left panel of the Cortana Window.
• Click on About me and login using the Microsoft account credentials.
• Close the window and check if the changes are effective.
