    Hello i reinstalled win 10 pro and i used my win 8.1 key which i had used from the begining when i first upgrade to win 10 from win 8.1. But when i search the key with a programm that i downloaded i m seeing another number from the key that i used. Anybody knows why?

    Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

    Fresh Install of Win 10 without Serial Key?

    Looking to reformat a laptops HDD, and then reinstall Win 10 fresh. The problem is it came pre-installed with Win 8 and I did the free upgrade to Win 10. How exactly would I re-format the HDD, reinstall Win 10 and ensure it reactivates properly? I don't see a Win 8 serial key anywhere in the contents of the box.

    Why was I not asked for a product key when upgrading to Win 10?

    According to your spec you have Win 10 Pro, but perhaps that doesn't reflect your PC.

    You haven't stated which edition of Win 10 you have on this machine, nor what your Win 10 key is for.

    For example, if you already have Win 10 Pro and your key is Win 10 Home, that would be a retrograde step.
