Windows 10: Headphones not working - Windows 10

Hi I've been trying to sort this issue out for ages.


I've read all the blogs forums and whatever else I can find but none of the solutions work.


Here's my problem:

• When I start up my computer my headphones work fine
• If I unplug my headphones or my computer goes to "sleep" then it simply does not pick up my headphones anymore.
• If i right mouse click on sound, it doesn't show me a headphone option
• When I go into my sound settings, it says that headphones are not plugged in even when they are See screen capture below

• Sometimes when I plug my headphones in, the sound is muted from the speakers but nothing comes out of the headphones.
• Otherwise I just plug my headphones in
• This is using the 3.5mm jack - there are no other places where I could plug my headphones in.
• I have updated all the drivers
• I'm running an HP pavilion 360 14"
• It comes with Bang and Olufson sound software, not sure if that is part of the problem.

This problem is driving me insane, please help

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• What are the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue?
• How have you connected the headphones to your device?
• Were you able to see if the headphones detected on your computer?

As a work around, try the below and update us the status of this issue:

• I suggest you to connect the headphones to different device and check if the headphone is working fine. This will help us to detect if the issue is with headphone.
• If headphones are working fine on other devices, try to connect the headphones to different ports on the PC in the question and check if it is working fine. This will help us to know if the issue is with ports.

I recommend you to install all the pending updates on your device and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Did not work, I get sound thru the speakers but not from headphone at all.
Still have not gotten any useful help on this.
