Windows 10: Snip and Sketch Short Cut Key

I want to create a short cut key for the snip and sketch tool in Windows. I tried all the ways to get to the file, can't find it. I want and there is no properties option from the task bar. Please Assist..

Using the Windows Logo + Shift + S short cut, the Snip & Sketch program let me dragged the rectangle over what I have wanted to snip. But then it dissappears after I finished dragging the rectagle. The Snip & Sketch also quitted.

The program worked when I use the Control N keys or click New.

Please advise how to fix that problem.

I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 3 year Windows Insider MVP here to help.

When you have taken the snip it gets copied to the clipboard and pressing the notification like in the following Image should open Snip Sketch app. This is by design.

Can you please check if Focus assist isn't turned on that silents notifications?

Here are the few steps you can try to fix the issue.

Method 1

Refer the article Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store
and try the suggested steps and check if the issue still persists. If the issue still persists try with the method 2.

Method 2

Reset Snip & Sketch app

1. Press Windows + I key and click on
   Apps.
   
2. Click on Apps & features. Select Sketch & Snip app from the available list of installed apps.
   
3. Click on Snip & Sketch > Advanced Options.
   
4. Click on Reset option.
   
5. Restart the computer once and check the status of the issue.
   
6. Let us know if the issue still persists.
