Windows 10: Used Cut function Ctrl+X on C:\Recovery between old Lenovo drive and new HP laptop. How can...

My old Lenovo laptop started acting up, so I bought a new HP Pavilion, and have been moving over my content to a replacement SSHD, which now is a secondary storage location after the integrated? SSD. As I've been copy+pasting and cut+pasting between drives, I lost myself an cut+pasted from the old Lenovo drive's hidden Recovery folder and the Pavilion's hidden folder at C:\Recovery. Despite trying to Undo Ctrl+Z it, it seems folders have merged, resulting in files with Dates Last Modified years prior to those same files' Dates Created. How might I just reset that folder without resorting to a System Restore Point, as I'm not sure what all would be undone by that function besides the recognized program installations?

Hp notebook will not boot. Booting from usb drive shows recovery drive as C:

Just looking at a friends Laptop.

Booting this HP notebook gives a message "Boot Drive not found"

"Please install Hard Disk (3F0)".

Using provided recovery does not work and there are no backups.

I am using a recovery drive from my own HP Notebook to investigate.

Using Diskpart List Disk and Partition I can see a drive with 931gb size and 899gb free

I can see a Partition of 32gb of type Primary. This is the recovery drive which boots as drive C: currently. The old C: drive and partition have vanished.

Looking for another view on this I ran fsutil volume list to show three volume /drive combinations

C:/, D:/and X:/.

The X:/ drive is probably my usb drive.

I tried to get a volume allocation report from D:/ using fsutil and got "The device is not ready". Maybe this is just the DVD drive?single

My questions is. Can I get the drive remapped without losing data.

CTRL+C/X/V Not working

Hi, I hope someone can help me out.

A few days ago, some of my keyboard shortcuts stopped working for me. As far as I know, the only shortcuts that refuse to work with me are:

• ctrl + c
• ctrl + x
• ctrl + v
• ctrl + z
• ctrl + t (this one used to work until literally just now while I was testing it)

I don't think that this is a hardware issue because (oddly enough), the following keyboard shortcuts DO work.

• ctrl + w
• ctrl + n
• ctrl + p
• ctrl + d

I have already uninstalled my keyboard drivers and restarted my computer several times.

This problem affects me across Firefox, Chrome, Line...

The only thing of note that happened to me before this started happening is that Firefox updated and kicked my old data into a folder on my desktop.

I desperately hope that someone can help me out; my googling so far has been fruitless.

When using Quora (Win10 MS Edge) using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to cut and paste into a reply or comment results in the display of the HTML assciated with the text. How do I get just text?

Using Web app Quora with WIn10 and MS Edge

When I use CTRL+C to cut text from any website and then use CTRL+V to insert it into my Quora reply/comment the associated HTML is also displayed.

The only way I can work around this is to

• Paste the cut into Notepad (CTRL+V)
• Recopy it (CTRL+C)
• Paste the new snippet into Quora (CTRL+V)

It appears from interaction with others on Quora that this is a MS Edge problem and the suggestion is I use Chrome instead.

I would prefer to use MS Edge

Any solution?

BTW It is a sad comment that the Category list below does not include MS Edge but only refers to Internet Explorer...
