    Question about custom dark themes and OldNewExplorer


    Hi all,

    I've installed UltraUXThemePatcher and the custom theme DarkTen, as there are some programs like qBittorrent with no built in dark mode and they burn my eyes.

    My understanding (based on guides like this one) is that you also need to install OldNewExplorer.

    However, when I install OldNewExplorer it turns the background of my file explorer bright white (everything is white, I can't even read the folder names). Without OldNewExplorer everything is nice and dark and seems to work fine.

    My questions are:

    -Could I have done something wrong when installing OldNewExplorer that somehow turned the file explorer background white?

    -Is OldNewExplorer actually necessary?

    Build 10162 and Dark Theme


    @Brink I am running a clean install of Windows 10 Pro build 10162 and all Apps listed in Edwin's post below are using the dark theme. I did not try to enable the Dark Theme when I first upgraded from 10159 though.

    Dark Theme

    Hello again,

    I've repaired Office 365, I've had a look at the registry but made no change to it as it was already set to the dark theme.

    Are you suggesting that reinstalling Office 365 will do the trick ?
