Windows 10: ive tried everything. mic problem not wireless

so i have this mic and i have tried EVERYTHING. i looked up almost all the possible solutions and it still doesn't work on my windows 10 computer. but it DOES work with my windows 8 laptop...?

although my computer notices the mic's existence it just doesn't want to detect anything and all i wanna do is voice chat with my friends. i tried talking to them with the mic that doesn't work and they couldn't hear ANYTHING.


things i have tried doing: not in a specific order

Windows key + I,
installing different drivers/reinstalling them/updating them,

Updating windows 10,

browsing/asking for help online,

Realtek audio manager...?

setting mic to default,

Separate all input jacks as independent input devices...?

& going back to different versions of Windows 10.



am i missing something painfully obvious?


jute to note I have separate ports at the front, I plugged it into the mic one since it doesn't register the mic in the headphone slot.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

im having the same problem as well, gone through all the steps listed but still no luck unfortunately.
If anyone finds a solution please post it up

I ordered a set of wireless mic-and or headphone and reciever good up to 100'.



I might do a review for them.
