Windows 10 WiFi and Taskbar Issues

    Hello,

For the past few months, I have noticed that my WiFi periodically disconnects I'd guess about every 10-15 minutes and reconnects within a few seconds. At the same time that the WiFi disconnects, the icons on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen flash briefly. I suspect that this issue is related to the computer's power as the problem only occurs when the laptop is unplugged; additionally, when the battery supply gets low enough, the WiFi disconnects and networks are no longer detected. Deleting and reinstalling the network adapter fixes this, but it can be annoying having to do this every time. Finally, the computer often shuts down unexpectedly when battery supply falls below about 20%, which may be related to the other issues.

I am running Windows 10 on a Lenovo laptop. There appear to be no updates available for the WiFi driver or system. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    Thanks!

    :)

Windows 10 WiFi and Taskbar Issues

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
