  1. Will deleting in build administer account harm the performance or OS or Recovery of my Laptop?

I purchased a laptop 2 days back with which Windows 10 was in build. The account was named as HP to access the laptop. I wanted to change it on my own name. So, what I did is I created a new account with my own name and deleted the previous account. Before I create a new account with my name, I took recovery in a pen drive. When I took the recovery, there was only one account as HP. Now as I have deleted that account and I am using the one with my name, my question is will it harm my OS or will it create problem when I will use the recovery? Please clear my confusion.

    :)

  2. reptilepc Win User

No administer accounts detected by troubleshoot options?!

So, in the advanced startup options, it says there are no administer accounts on this pc!

But my local account is an administer account, and when I use my microsoft account it still says there is no administer account!

I can not access any of the recovery options, or the recovery command prompt!

So am I missing something, or is my computer malfunctioning?

I'm using a hp pavilion laptop that was made in mid 2016.

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

  4. Will deleting in build administer account harm the performance or OS or Recovery of my Laptop?

Attempts to delete account result in freeze.

I'm trying to remove a user account off a Toshiba laptop but each time I try to delete the account, the User Accounts thingy freezes. Any ideas on how to delete the account?
