  1. How to solve or fix the problem of "Filename Is Too Long" in windows 10?

I face this issue whenever I get files or folders from other sources or create one by myself. I also face this issue whenever I try deleting them if I don't want to use them further. I tried giving them shortest paths like on the desktop but in the end, it still faces these issues or when I try to move them to my other disk partitions because I don't keep everything in my C drive or cluttered on my desktop. I know some of you will say to me to rename or keep the name of those files and folders small and within the limit but that doesn't happen to all of them. I need a better fix. I am using the latest updates as usual. Has MS solved this long-pending issue of character limit through w10 or will I have to live with this?

  2. New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

    Heres a couple examples:

    Here

    Here

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

How to solve or fix the problem of "Filename Is Too Long" in windows 10?

Is there a way to make long path and filenames not be a problem in Windows?

I sometimes have a library of files stored in a lengthy folder path. The problem arises when the filename is also long.

It's as if the file does not exist even though it is physically there.

I can't move these files from search results to another folder. Other programs have difficulty also recognizing these files.

The only thing I can do is go into its physical location. From there I can open the file and move it to another folder.

Even 'open file location' from the right click menu does not work.

Is there any fix for long path / filename problems in Windows?

If it were just a few files like this I would manually fix them, but there are many due to automatic storage from a web-based file download service.

    Thank you
