"Erase this disc" option: NOT available

    Dell XPS 13 MLK 9360

    Edition: Windows 10 Home

    Version: 1909

    Installed: 02/10/2019

    ld: 18363.836

"Erase this disc" option: IS available

    Dell Inspiron 11 - 3147

    Edition: Windows 10 Home

    Version: 1809

    Installed: 16/01/2019

    OS Build: 17763.1192

"Erase this disc" option: IS available

    Dell Precision T1700

    Edition: Windows 10 Pro

    Version: 1909

    Installed: 25/07/2019

Can anyone tell me why the "Erase this disc" option is not available on the Dell Precision Workstation M4800, or the Dell Precision T1700?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. Windows program to secure erase files only

I tried doing a search and only found optimal ways to fully erase a disc. Since there are a ton of programs I thought it best to just ask for a current recommendation. I would like to erase a few folders only on a W7 machine and do not need a full time paid program.

    Thank you for any suggestions.
