Windows 10: Windows Microsoft Store Crashes on Launch 100% of time

Hello,

For weeks now I have been unable to use the Microsoft App Store. I have used "sfc /scannow" and every variation of DISM command to confirm no corruption on OS. I have reset the application using the settings menu and also WSReset.exe, both methods producing no benefit.


There are literally dozens of problem reports for Store crashing in diagnostic data viewer, and now as another issue, Notepad no longer will launch despite it's .exe existing in System32 as expected. I turn to here in hopes someone can shed some light on this..


The various problem reports all look identical to this, with the date/time being the only difference:

Unable to launch Microsoft Store and Microsoft store apps.

I understand how it could be when the applications doesn’t work as they are supposed to. We will look into this. However, please reply to the following questions to help you in a better way:

• Are you getting any error message?
  
• Since when are you facing this issue?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made on the computer recently?
  

In the meantime, I suggest you to follow the steps from the article
Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store to fix the issues with the Microsoft apps that are not launching. Also, follow the steps from the article

Microsoft Store doesn't launch to fix the issues you are facing in launching Store.

Microsoft Solitaire app crashing

• What happens when you launch Microsoft Solitaire Collection?
  
• Do you read any error message when you launch the game? If yes, what is the error message?
  
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Microsoft Store Problem

Hi,

There are times that you’ll encounter an error that the account doesn’t exist if the account name was misspelled. It can also be related to a conflict that has occurred with the Store app. To resolve this concern, we suggest that you check this
article for the steps that you can use.

Also, here are the troubleshoot steps that you can follow to isolate if the issue is with the Store app:

• Check for
  connection problem.
• Check if you have the correct time and location settings. Go to Settings
  > Time & Language.
• Reset Microsoft Store cache:
  

• Press Windows + R keys to launch the run command box.
• Type WSReset, then try launching Microsoft and sign in.
