Windows 10: Spell Checking Bad in Windows 10 Mail App

Because of limited resources on my laptop, because of what I want to do on it, I decided to not install Office on my local machine. I decided to try Windows 10 Mail app. It works fine except the spell checking is bad. It does give me the red squiggly line on misspelled words but when I right click on the word the suggestions are not the correct spelling.


I just now wrote an email and the pop-up suggestions didn't show up at all. I will start using the online version of Outlook but I wondered if this will ever be addressed since it has been a part of Windows 10 so long. I use Windows 10 1909 with latest updates. Thx.

Spell check not working in mail app

Hi.... done and spell check still not working!!! giving up on this will remove app and not use, very frustrating!!! any suggestions for a descent mail app that clean and easy to use?

 

No spelling check options while sending the emails

To assist you better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• Are you using Mail App or Web app for accessing the mails?
• Previously were you able to set it up for the Spelling check?

If you are using the Mail App, there is no option to set the spelling check. But when you are sending a New Mail you have an option to check the spelling.

• Click on +New Mail. Type the content.
• Above you may click for the Spelling check and check if you are able to use the option.
