Windows 10: Windows 10 license - Where I can find it?

Hello,


I would like to ask. Where I can find that license of Windows 10 that is connected with my Microsoft account?


Some time ago I bought Windows 7 and got an upgrade for Windows 10. Working fine and everything blabla. Then I decided to sell that old computer so I tried to figure out how to "un-connect" the license with that motherboard. After my investigation, I remember that I discovered that my license is connected with my Microsoft account that is logged on that computer. I was happy about it, formated HDD, and sold the computer.


Now I am about to buy a new computer and I don't want to spend a money on new windows as I should have my original one connected with this account. I remember I was able to find it somewhere on the account that I do own a license back in the day I was selling my old one. BUT I cant ...I can't find it anywhere.


Questions:

- Where I can find it on my Microsoft account?

- Is it possible it disappeared?

- Will I be able to use it again, dunno during the installation if I log with the account where the license suppose to be, will it be paired somehow? And maybe later it will be visible on my Microsoft account?


My new computer is on its way but without an OS because I was relying on that I will be able to use this license. Also, I have the original disk I used and its license key but its win7 ...doubt about free upgrade after this long time now.

Windows 10 upgrade license

Hello guys,

I have 1 license of WIndows 8.1 FPP/retail license. I want to upgrade to WIndows 10, but I one thing is unclear to me.
If I upgrade, will WIndows 10 license be retail or it will "turn" into some sort of OEM license?

I ask this because I upgrade my PC, you know, more memory, replace HDD, and I intend to upgrade the MB and CPU to Kaby Lake platform sometime in the future, (and of course sell the replaced hardware)
This thing is not clearly mentioned anywhere.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 upgrade license

The interesting question is that: the upgrade takes place before 29 of July. If I upgrade the PC (change the MB), and I transfer the Win 8.1 license to this new PC (cause 8.1 is retail FPP), will I be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free? Or a upgrade license must be bought?
