  1. Microsoft apps appear blurry on only one screen

I have a 13" Dell laptop on Windows 10 and a 22" Dell external monitor connected to the laptop via HDMI. I have the monitor set to 100% resolution (as set in Settings --> Display), and the laptop set to 125% resolution. This causes Microsoft apps, like Outlook, Word, etc. to appear blurry only on the laptop screen. Apps like Chrome and Edge are fine on both screens.

I tried switching around the zoom levels, and it seems like the apps will be at clear resolution only if both screens are at the same scale. However, 100% on the laptop makes things too small, and 125% on the external monitor makes things too large. On top of this, some apps will actually appear clearly on the laptop screen, but blurry on the external monitor! I tried turning on and off the "Let Windows fix blurry apps," but this did nothing. This is a really obnoxious problem, as it seems very simple to just fix the resolution on both monitors. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it?

  2. Blurry app fix for Windows 10 (v1709)

    Hello,

I have an older version (1709) of Windows 10, which I cannot find a fix for the blurry apps on my high resolution display - Microsoft's listed solutions to this only pertain only to later versions of Windows 10. Of course, these can be fixed in the Microsoft
apps by choosing "best appearance", though sadly, this is limited to only Microsoft apps. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
