Windows 10: Windows 10 2004 - system locked up after screen standby.

Yesterday i upgraded to Windows 10 2004.


All seemed fine but when i tried to wake up the system this morning it didn't respond.

I disabled all sleep options and only let the screens go in standby.


the last message in eventvwr was around 3AM : The start type of the Background Intelligent Transfer Service service was changed from auto start to demand start.

After that eventvwr stopped until i restarted the computer at 8 AM.


I'll keep an eye out to see if anything else goes wrong.

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

No Lock screen in Windows 10.

• When you say that "rolling slideshow ", what exactly are you referring to?
• When you say that "I can't activate it again.", are you referring that you are not able to Activate Windows 10?
• What are the troubleshooting steps which you have performed to resolve the issue?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen pictures.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select the lock screen picture.

No Lock screen in Windows 10.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen option as Windows Spotlight and check if it helps.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select Windows Spotlight from the list.
