Windows keep on freezing and CHKDSK not working.

    Hi,

Have a problem that may sound familiar but would appreciate comments and help.

Have an all in one Acer PC that was working fine till recently. Started playing up by freezing after 10 -15 minutes. Windows updated on regular basis. Not using 3rd party software i.e. antivirus is Microsoft.

Went through a phone where it would freeze and I get the error messages

STOP CDE UNEXPTED STORE EXCETPION as well as similar blue squre different messages…. I just remember this one as it appeared more than once.

Tried most of the suggested remedies online with no luck, when Running CHKDSK it stops at phase one 61% … been like this since last months. When in SAFE MODE it would work fine but the important programmes like Outlook don’t seem to work.

Any idea on how I can fix this freezing problem….?

Would re-installing windows, with the option of keeping files, resolve this problem????

    :)

    chkdsk c: /F

It might be an error on the drive. We suggests that you follow the troubleshooting steps below:

    • Run Disk Cleanup utility to clear your junk files.
    • Open an elevated CMD type sfc /scannow and hit Enter to run the System File Checker.
    • Once the scan is completed, restart your computer. Remember to exit ChkDsk
      during boot.
    • Next, again open CMD as admin type
      Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
and hit Enter to repair the Windows image.
    • Now see if ChkDsk able to complete the scan.

Note: Before doing the steps, make sure you save a back up of your files.

Let us know how it goes.

Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

Windows 10 infinite restart black screen

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
