Hi everyone , and thanks for spending the time to check out my post.

    Windows 10 Pro 64bit Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.778)

    i9 9900k , 32gb Corsair LPX ,

Samsung NVmE SSD 970 EVO 500GB - system hdd (C:\Drive)

    )Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB (D:\Drive)

At some moment 5-6 months ago i noticed i was missing 140gb on my C: Drive , and checking Systems-Settings-Storage i found the 140gb where occupied by System & Reserved

this is what it looks like this moment

    https://preview.redd.it/xh2cv8fjli1...bp&s=b97662e2738a52e540689d6b0f44cdde1d8d740c

using TreeWiz i found the folder where these files are being created is

    C:\Windows\System32\config\TxR

to view the contents of this folder and delete i must go to Folder Options and uncheck Hide Protected Operating Systems. This is what this folder looks right at this moment (havent deleted its contents for a couple of days)

everytime i reboot my computer a bunch of files with these filenames get created

    {d7fdc466-9f11-11ea-ab7f-806e6f6e6963}.TxR.437.regtrans-ms

    {68ea5e56-9fd7-11ea-ab80-806e6f6e6963}.TMContainer00000000000000000001.regtrans-ms

    {d7fdc466-9f11-11ea-ab7f-806e6f6e6963}.TxR.blf

So for the past couple of months i have made a shortcut to C:\Windows\System32\config\TxR and delete the GB of files that have accumulated every 3-5 days

Right now i am going to delete all the files and there are always 5-8 that are currently in use by system and i will be able to delete them tommorow when the new files will have been created

So please if anyone of you knows , what are these files ? i have searched through the internet for an answer but havent found anything in particular , besides someone with a similar problem on a network of pcs at his workplace.

I have looked to see if there is a way to see what program or service is creating these files but i know of no such program and these files are all supposedly created by System , i would really want to be able to stop this from happening without having to format my pc since i have tons of stuff installed the way i need it and i fear that any image files i make of system will just have some problem

I wouldnt mind deleting these files occasionally when they go over 50gb but after 6 months of this and hoping that some windows update would fix it i am fearing for my nvme longevity , i mean every 2-3 days 40-50 gb of files get written on it for no reason whatsoever.

Thank you again for taking the time to read my troubles Windows 10 - Gigabytes of files building up in TxR Folder Every Reboot :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows 10 forced download

^This, then reboot and go to manually update windows. Find KB3035583 in the list of available updates, right-click and "Hide this update" so it doesn't get installed again next go around.

?? How do I PW protect Folders in windows

    hmmm?
Sharing files and folders overview You can share the files and folders stored on your computer, on a network, and on the Web. The method you choose depends on whom you want to share files with, and what computer they will use to access the files.

When you share files or folders, they are not as protected as they are when you do not share them. People with access to your computer or your network might be able to read, copy, or change files that are in a shared folder. You should always be aware that the files and folders that you share are available to other people and be sure to monitor your shared files and folders on a regular basis.

    Important

If your computer is not joined to a domain, you can use the Network Setup Wizard to automatically turn file and printer sharing on or off. To start the Network Setup Wizard, click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Setup Wizard.
If you both use the same computer

You can put the files you want to share in the Shared Documents folder. Files stored in the Shared Documents folder or its subfolders are always available to other users on your computer.

    Step-by-step procedure
    Note

If you are connected to a network domain, the Shared Documents, Shared Pictures, and Shared Music folders are not available.
If both computers are on the same network

You can share a folder or drive on your computer with others on the network. You can also control whether the files in the shared folder can be modified by other users.

If your computer is connected to a network domain, use this procedure:

    Step-by-step procedure
If your computer is connected to a workgroup, use this procedure:

    Step-by-step procedure
    Note

If you are connected to a network domain, you will need to set the Access control for the folder or drive after sharing it. For more information, go to To set, view, change, or remove file and folder permissions.
If you want to share your files online

You can publish pictures and documents on the Web using the Web Publishing Wizard. The files will be stored in a private, online folder that you manage.

    Step-by-step procedure

If you don't want others to access your files

You can prevent other users from accessing your folders and the files they contain. When your computer is connected to a domain, this is called setting permissions for your file or folder. When your computer is connected to a workgroup, this is called making your folders private.

If your computer is connected to a network domain, use this procedure:
