Windows 10: Restore D drive in the pc

I was installing the kali linux through USB. It was failed due to unknown problems. Then i closed the and restarted the laptop. When it started my some apps were not there. There was an error saying: unable to find location D:\ desktop. I tried some ways but didn't resolve the problem. Please suggest me the best way so i can restore my drive.

• Click on the File Explorer.

Upgraded from windows 8.1 to 10 now D drive missing

Hello,

Upon upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 my D drive is no longer listed under my PC. I tried a search and cannot find it nor can I do a system restore as that requires the D Drive. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

1. What is the make and model number of your Computer?
   

Please note that recovery "D" is a partition on the hard drive which contains the image of the Operating system. You can use it to restore the computer back to factory settings. You should not attempt to store files in it.
If you have any data saved on the D drive, I would suggest you to move it to an external drive and to free up some space, you can follow the steps provided in the article:
