Question about connecting my dual monitors to my graphics card

I just bought 2 new monitors, they are the
My graphics card is the Gigabyte GeForce 1060 Windforce OC GDDR5, I'll attach a image of the back of the card so everyone can see the back outputs.

Samsung 850 Series 28 inch 4K UHD 3840x2160 Desktop Monitor for Business, HDMI, DP, FreeSync, 1 ms response, USB Hub, 3-Year Warranty (LU28E85KRS/GO) I'll attach an image of the connections these monitors accept.

I've always used DVI to HDMI cables for my old monitors, my question is can I use the Displayport for one monitor and the HDMI for the other monitor? these are 4K monitors and I want to make sure the cables support 4K. Also On the graphics card I have are the Displayport and HDMI output that can to to monitors? ( I feel dumb for asking but want to make sure I am getting the the best resolution )

    :)

    usb monitors using graphics card

    Hi isaac177,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    1. May I know the model number of AOC display monitor?
    2. Is this the first time that you are trying to setup the display using HDMI?

You can try to use an adaptor (USB/HDMI or VGA as the card has 3 slots) to connect to monitor. I would also suggest you to get in touch with Nvidia to know more about this as there can be output issues while using adaptors and your Graphic card (GTX
1660 Ti) might not work as expected.

I suggest you to refer this
    NVidia
support link, and check if that helps.

    Regards,

    graphics card problems

    Hi,

Your computer makes a noise or beeps from your internal speaker because it failed to detect the graphics card. What we can suggest is for you to try cleaning your graphics card with a pencil eraser. Here are the steps below:

    • Turn your computer off.
    • Pull out your video/graphics card.
    • Rubbed the cold contacts with soft pencil eraser.
    • Connect your video/graphics card back to the computer.
Kindly note that this is just a temporary fix. If the case still continues, I suggest that you contact your graphics card's manufacturer.

Let us know how it goes.

Question about connecting my dual monitors to my graphics card

    dual monitors

    Hi Liz,

To run dual monitors, firstly your graphics card must support dual monitor setup.

Then you must connect each monitor to a separate output, whether it is HDMI or VGA (D-Sub) blue connection
