    Broadcom related BSOD

    Hello.

So before I reset my pc, I had this problem which was a blue screen of death caused by probably a faulty Broadcom driver.

I don't remember the bsod fully but what I am sure was there was this:

    SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED

and the source of the problem was the bcmwl63a.sys file. I did some googling and that's how I found out. I had blue screens of death before, I updated my graphics card driver and I thought it solved the problem because I thought it was only the graphics card driver that was too old.

I use a custom built pc and my specs are

AMD Ryzen 5 2400 with radeon vega graphics

    Nvidia GeForce Gtx 1050ti

    Gigabyte B450M DS3H motherboard

    16gb ram

And to anyone who has extra questions about my internet, since my motherboard doesn't have a wifi module itself that it can get internet from I use a BT wifi dongle 300 if that is of any revelance.

I can provide extra info if needed.

Also I am really sorry with any inconsitencies in my question, I am a youngling and this is my first ever desktop pc so I am confused about a lot of things.

    :)

    BSOD related to broadcom driver

Hi, i've been consistently getting BSODs, running a whocrashed analysis yielded the following:

    crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp

This was probably caused by the following module: bcmwl63a.sys (bcmwl63a+0x8EA6F)

    Bugcheck code: 0x50 (0xFFFFF6FB400037A8, 0x0, 0x0, 0x6)

    Error: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

    file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\bcmwl63a.sys

product: Broadcom WiFi Driver wireless driver

    company: Broadcom Corp

description: Broadcom WiFi Driver wireless driver

Bug check description: This indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced.

This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.

A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: bcmwl63a.sys (Broadcom WiFi Driver wireless driver, Broadcom Corp).

    Google query: Broadcom Corp PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Can anyone please tell me how this can be fixed?

Related to BCMWL664.SYS 802.11 Network Adapter wireless driver from Broadcom Corporation

Completely remove the current driver and install the newest driver available. For instructions on how to do that Read all about updating drivers by my partner JMH3143 here Updating a driver.
