    Consumption of Intensive High Rate of Data by My Laptop on the use of Internet Hotspot


    I am currently using a HP Laptop 15, and the Problem I am Facing is that:

    As Soon as My Laptop gets connected to The Internet Hotspot, a lot of Internet Data is consumed within a short period of time. As I Know, a few minutes ago 700 MB of Data was consumed within a short period of time mounting to 10 Minutes.

    Please Address a solution to the above problem. Could it be Due to Some Internet Malware or Ransomware? This Problem is not faced when I use any Other Device to Connect To that Specific Device. Please Tell A Solution

    There are several causes of high data usage on your network. It depends on the applications or software used that requires network connection. For you to check the data consumption or data usage on your PC, follow the steps below:

    • On Cortana search, type data usage overview.
    • Select Data usage overview from the list.
    • Under Overview, click on Usage details.

    To address your concern with auto update options, can you tell us what particular updates are installed automatically on your computer?
