Windows 10: Bluetooth dongle doesn't work properly and I'm at my wit's end

Hi guys, I saw a some of you guys are crazy good at figuring these things out so I'll try asking here before I give up completely


I want to connect my Xbox One controller to my PC

It works just fine if wired with a micro USB cable

It works just fine if I pair it with my laptop that has built-in bluetooth


When I try to pair it with my desktop using an ORICO BTA-403 USB dongle, everything is confusing and broken;


Sometimes it will connect and seems to 'monitor my inputs' for a fraction of a second, every 10 seconds;

e.g. I can hold down forwards and let go, but if it's not during this random window of detecting my input, nothing will happen.

Similarly, if I do it in the 'monitored window' and let go, the computer will continue to think I'm holding forward until it randomly decides to check again


Most of the time, the controller won't connect at all

I turn it on and use the pairing button but when I add device in the control panel, it won't show up.

Sometimes it will show up and say it's paired, the controller will show in devices, and software/games will know I have a controller plugged in, but input will not work at all.

If I remove the controller device and scan for new devices to pair with, it will sometimes give me the option to pair with the controller even if the controller is completely off.


I would really really appreciate any help in getting this problem fixed so the controller works

This has given me so much headache on multiple occasions

I bought a bunch of cheapo microusb cables that break after a month, but I keep desperately trying to make bluetooth work for hours each time it happens

I feel like I've played around with all kinds of settings but I'm lost

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

If your sure that its recognised properly then have a look on this links page http://www.holtmann.org/linux/bluetooth/

The only thing i can think of to fix if it isnt recognised by linux is the following:

Firstly you have to find out what chipset your bluetooth dongle uses.
Secondly i think your going to have to basically compile your own kernel and include the module for the chipset that your bluetooth dongle uses.
Thirdly depending on if you add it to the kernel or as like built in you will have to add the name of the module to a config file which is used when you boot linux.

If the kernel doesnt have support for your bluetooth dongle then you can either try and find a different copy of the kernel which does or try and find the driver for it.

To recompile your own kernel however requires a whole guide itself , plus different linux distro's will have different kernels with different options and slightly different config files.

Only thing i can suggest is going to www.gentoo.org and reading through their handbook, its basically step by step setting up linux manually, in the handbook there is a page or two on recompiling your kernel for your particular configuration.

 

Double Tap doesn`t work on Lumia 620

Hello,

Double Tap to wake doesn`t work at my Lumia 620. I have all on in settings but still doesn`t work. I`m pretty sure that in update AMBER or BLACK this function works properly. But after DENIM update doesn`t. Maybe you are planning some update for this future
?
