    I have a Program in my Start-Up simply entitled "Program", is it malware?


    Hello, I have a Program in my list of Start-Ups simply called "Program", it has no file location when I right-click on it, also I cannot check its properties, its Start-Up impact is listed as "Not Measured" this seems off to me, however I don't want to do something that would potentially be harmful, can I disable this on Start-Up or is this an important windows Program that has been poorly labeled?

    Repair/Malware program


    Hard to say without more detail, but that could be a sign of problems. I suggest you follow my steps in post #11, to get your system in tip top shape.

    The program you are referring to should be ignored. Ccleaner is the ONLY program I would EVER run on a registry, ever.

    Here's the situation as it was. I had PCacceleratePro on the computer, but research showed it to be a problem so I removed it. I also have Reimage on the computer, but it scans and finds issues, but I haven't purchased it. Research also showed it to have problems. also listed is McAfee and Malwarebytes, but I'm not sure how effective either of those are. Reimage keeping listing stability issues and malware issues, including listing PCaccelerate as malware. Are any of those programs effective?

    can't uninstall program

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community. I appreciate your effort in resolving this issue.

    - Did you try un-installing the program from programs and features?

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    Repairing or removing programs

    To uninstall programs, go to Settings.
    • On the Start menu, then select Settings.
    • Select System > Apps & features.
    • Select the program, then select Uninstall. Some apps that are built in to Windows can’t be uninstalled.
    • Follow the directions on the screen.
    If you are still unable to uninstall the program, follow the steps below.

    • In Search, enter Control Panel and select Control Panel.
    • Select Programs > Programs and Features, then select the program.
    • Select the program, then select Uninstall. Some apps that are built in to Windows can’t be uninstalled.
    • Follow the directions on the screen.

    Let us know the status.
