Windows 10: windows claims my wifi connected printer is offline, but I can ping the printer

First background - I have 2 wifi routers in my house. Our primary laptop frequently connects to the wifi that the printer IS NOT connected to. So that if I want to print I must first switch the laptop's wifi conncetion. But Windows doesn't recognize that the printer is now available on the wifi network.


The problem - if something has been sent to the printer while connected the wifi the printer is not on OR the printer has not yet been recognized as available, windows claims the printer is not online. In the first case this correct, but if the laptops connection is changed, Windows should recognize this fact and print. In the second case, I need a way to force Windows to recognize that the printer is available.

Wi-fi printer goes Offline

I have an Epson SX420W wifi connected to a router Belkin 54g. The network consists of a desktop PC and a notebook with Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit, and a notebook with windows 7, all connected wirelessly to the router and all with the latest epson drivers installed. The printer connects to the router is successful, as well as the network test from the panel of the printer. Installing the printer on the various devices was successful, as well as various proofs. The problem is that sometimes the printer is detected by the devices on the network like "offline", even though it is turned on, properly connected, as the test outcome. What happens for no apparent reason, in some cases it works perfectly while in others it is offline.
Do you know what can depend on and how to fix?

 

Canon printer wifi trouble

Hey,

I installed my canon pixma mg3210 with the newest driver and I choose wifi connection.

Eveyrthing works fine until I turn off the printer then my laptop doesn't detect the printer anymore.
Basically, the printer is offline.

Set a static IP on the printer else each time it switches off and on may get different ip which may not function correctly
Try
Delete the Printer after setting static ip

Devices and printer
>add printer
>>Add local printer (not network even though on wifi)
>>>Create new port - click standard Tcp/Ip
>>>>enter ip address of printer that set before and any port name
Select the printer driver from list

Try a test print to see if working then switch off and on and see if come back online

If still stays offline ,Open printer in Devices and printer
Click printer
untick use offline
turn printer off and On

See if comes back online

Network Printer can either be set by Ip address or Printer network name
Static ip always the best to set
