    Media creation tool left data on my C after it was finished.


    I made a USB install and it required 8 gigs free on my C drive. After I created the install USB I cleared out all temporary data and restarted. It still has that 8 gigs taking up space on my C drive. How do I get that space back?

    How to make Windows 10 Media Creation tool finish & not disappear

    When running the Windows Media Creation tool it seems to disappear and not finish. How do I get the tool to finish and complete the upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10 on my computer?

    The steps I take are to:
    Run the tool
    Choose upgrade my pc
    then the Downloading Windows 10 completes ( takes a bit of time )
    Then it completes the Verifying Download ( relatively quick )
    Then when it goes to Creating Windows 10 media it will get halfway and
    Then the window disappears
    I've had this happen over 5 times now. I've tried clean booting also.

    How do I get the tool to complete and upgrade my pc to win 10?

    Media Creation Tool finished downloding but no any iso found.

    Hi,

    Sometimes this issue occurs when the account that you're logged into is not an admin account. If you are not signed in as administrator, we suggest that you sign into an administrator account before you download the Media Creation Tool (MCT).

    If you are signed in as administrator and the issue still persists, we suggest downloading the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool and save it to the desktop before saving it elsewhere.
