Windows 10: BSOD When I Enable Virtual Memory in Performance Settings

Hello, I have a laptop running Windows 10 on an SSD. However after the feature update back in 2019, I have had problems with Memory every once in a while. I would get BSODs once in a while indicating Memory problems even though I have tested my RAM using multiple software and no problems were ever found; I would have my running apps just disappear into thin air while working. And I have noticed something, and it's that my RAM usage never gets high like to 70+ percent no matter how many apps are running even Photoshop, Illustrator and so on running simultaneously.


Is there a registry setting I could change? Is there anything I can do?

Re locate Virtual Memory

I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check, if it helps: for
Re-locate the location of Virtual Memory.

• Press Windows +X, select System
• Click on Advanced system settings,
• On the Advanced tab, under
  Performance, click Settings.
• Click the Advanced tab, and then, under
  Virtual memory, click Change.
• Clear the automatically manage paging file size for all drives check box.
• Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file you want to change.
• Click Custom size, type a new size in megabytes in the
  Initial size (MB) or Maximum size (MB) box, click
  Set, and then click OK.

Additional information applies to 10 as well.

Crashes, Low memory Warnings after changing Virtual Memory settings


Hello,

I've been experiencing sluggish performance, browsers were laggy and non responsive after having many tabs.

I found that the solution to improve performance was to change Virtual Memory values and disable "paging file size" for all drives.

Now the computer performance is amazing, everything responds properly but now I'm getting error messages of low memory and getting crashes. A few minutes ago the computer crashed to a black screeen.

Here are the values I have right now in Virtual Memory, what else should I do to stop these crashes? I already tried a few different values but the problem still persists.

Any suggestions?

Proccessor AMD 6300

GPU Ati Radeon 7790

8GB DDR3

Motherboard ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970

 

Low Memory Warning - Virtual Memory Settings?

The only reason I mentioned this is SLI is currently a disaster on windows 10, crazy huge memory leaks, and using a single card setup there are still some minor memory issues as well.
