    HDD too slow on Windows


    Hi Everyone,

    I recently installed a new SSD in place of my HDD, and in place of my DVD writer, I installed my HDD. Now my SSD is working fine. But my HDD is running extremely slow, sometimes it hangs my Windows Explorer.

    I thought it is something wrong with my HDD. But surprisingly, it worked perfectly on Linux. I ran SMART analysis, but my HDD is fine.

    Could you please suggest me what how can i solve this problem. I am not able to access my HDD on windows?

    Hi Johan,

    It is possible that your
    HDD was unreadable
    causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:


    • Shutdown
      your
      PC.

    • Unhooked
      the
      HDD
      and
      turn on
      your
      PC.

    • Reconnect
      your
      HDD
      and
      restart
      your
      PC.

    If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
    laptop/computer's manufacturer
    for further assistance.

    Update us on how it goes.

    For us to better assist you, we need to ask a few questions:

    • Are you getting any error messages? Can you send a screenshot?
    • Is your HDD storage full?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
