Windows 10: problems with windows 10 movies and tv app

with each windows update playback on the Windows 10 Movies and TV app has become more difficult to playback purchased movies and tv show episodes i have purchased from the store. Currently playback either freezes, goes to black or locks up everything so bad that i have to use control-alt-delete to get the task manager to come up and close it down. I tried system restore but since it has been more than 10 days it leaves me no options but to go back to a factory reset. Barring that, is there something better to do? I hate to go back to the beginning because Windows constantly updates and eventually it will come back to the build updates that i hear many people are having issues with. What makes me mad is i just purchased something from the store and have been unable to watch it!!!!! Makes me want to stop using Windows computers and go buy an Apple /MacIntosh product instead [ they don't seem to have these kind of problems]!!!!

Windows 10 Movies & TV App: No Sound

Hi,

I suggest you to un-install and re-install Movies & TV App and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key.
• Type Windows Powershell.
• Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
• Type in the following command to un-install Movies & TV App.

get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ZuneVideo* | remove-appxpackage

Note: The Movies & TV App can be reinstalled using the Store App or by following the link mentioned below. You will need to exit the Store app if it is already open before reinstalling the app.

Movies and TV app Problem

These 2 steps resolved my disappearing Movies & TV tile problem. Before using this fix, tapping on the Movies & TV app tile would cause it to vanish without loading the program. Thanks for your help.
