    Black screen on win10 pro fresh install to 1tb hdd from old pc.


    Amd ryzen 5 3600 Msi b450 gaming pro carbon ac /bios flashed mobo 16 gb ram Xfx radeon 470 rs 4gb 1tb hdd

    Went thru all of the setup screens got to the blue win logo with the install circle then black screen. Can reboot and get that again but then blacks out again.

    What can I do to get it to finish?

    My Win10 upgrade is stuck/hung up on a black screen

    I have decided to upgrade from Win 8.1 to Win10 and in the process everything was going smoothly until it went to step two (intstalling features & drivers) where it restarted and only went to a black screen (can see my mouse pointer) but nothing is happening...
    no HDD lights blinking, just my PC is on with a black screen.

    It has an i7 with 16GB RAM and 1TB HDD... it was basically a fresh install of Win8.1 (with all updates) since I use this PC at home to work on things.

    Seems that I want to go back to Win 8.1... so if I can't get an easy fix to this, I will need to know what steps I need to take to restore back to Win 8.1.

    fresh win10 x64 pro install random freezing, black screen, no bsod


    fresh install of win10 x64 pro from usb using the media creator tool.

    First off, I upgraded from win7 to win10, and the freezes with black screens started.

    I reformated, did a fresh install from USB, same thing happened.

    I assumed it might have been a failing hard disk, so I stuck a new hard drive in the machine, and am getting the same results.

    Swap HDD between PCs with Win10

    Hi,

    I just bought a ASUG G20 gaming PC that comes with a 1TB HDD and a OEM Win10 installed with a digital key. I have a custom built Win10 PC with a 500GB SSD and a Win10 digital license (from a Win8 upgrade) linked to my account.

    Can I from a Win10 license point-of-view simply swap the HDD over and expect the licenses to function correctly?

    My worry is that the OEM license will not work on my custom built PC and that I cannot swap the licenses "around" - any suggestions on how this functions?
