Windows 10: Invalid partition table after using windows 10 tool to build ISO files on USB drive then...

Dell Latitude with Windows 10 Pro lost power completely with Android phone USB attached. When booted back up with phone attached it failed with "Invalid partition table" error. Followed instructions to use Microsoft Media Tool to download and build ISO version of Windows 10 on USB drive. Built the files on the USB drive. Executed setup.exe on the USB drive and Windows 10 Pro was installed to the first boot point and it tried to boot from the USB drive because that's 1st in the order and it failed. During installation it needs to reboot several times and each time it failed. Boot order was USB device first, then HDD. It would try to boot from USB device and end up with a vertical red and brown striped screen with a flashing cursor at top left. I would "hit any key" to reboot and hit F12 each time an installation boot would fail and selected Boot Manager? or something like that and Windows would boot. New Windows 10 Pro was installed to completion. Tried to boot from hard drive and it failed, Invalid Partition Table. Back to where I started. Any help or ideas? Should I have removed the USB drive after executing setup.exe to force it to the hard drive where Windows was being built?

Will the issue came back again after everything was setup. The invalid partition table error is back. Back to my drawing board.

When pressing a key it gave you No Boot Device Found. Which I check the bios, exactly no Hard drive found.

Press any key to reboot the machine is the next option. I was going back to your discussion

you have SSD and the same here.

Ok I hope this is the fix for this invalid partition Table.

1.) I created Bootable USB to downgrade my Dell M6800 Bios.

2.) Why create Bootable USB - cause I can get to my OS.

This also does not help. It came back to where it started - INVALID PARTITION TABLE!

Even going to bios and move the Internal SSD to be the first to boot. It works the first time and after reboot or shutdown it went back to INVALID PARTITION TABLE.

BIOS just won't hold the settings. Even you upgrade the Bios to the latest and downgrade the bios.

Still INVALID PARTITION TABLE.

How about trying rebuilding MBR?

If you have a Windows installation disc, you can fix invalid partition table via Command Prompt, here are solutions:

Step 1: Insert installation disc into your computer and boot PC from the disc. Click “Repair your computer”

Step 2: Select Command Prompt in the “System Recovery Options” window.

Step 3: Type “bootrec.exe” in Command Prompt and press “Enter”.

Step 4: Type “/FixMbr” on Windows. Restart computer and check if the issue is fixed.
