  1. Dual booting Win10 with Ubuntu linux - display driver problem

    Hi!

I have installed Win10 on a separate HDD beside Ubuntu. Once installed, everything worked fine with my dual monitor setup (actually a FullHD monitor + a 4K TV). Resolution was just fine.

After reinstalling GRUB (the linux bootloader), to make dual boot available again (as Win overwrites the boot sector not searching for other OSs like linux installer does) Windows10 resolution has stuck at 1027x768 and know way to change it (tried reinstalling the driver several times, but didn't work). This way there's no way to use Win and Office and other SW's I have...

Anyone here with the same problem? Any solution?

AMD A10 5800K APU with integrated ATI/AMD Radeon 7660D gfx, 16 GB RAM.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Ugrade issue on `WIN7 x86 / Linux Ubuntu´ dual boot computer

While upgrading a fine working WIN7 x86 OS, I received an error message that WIN10 couldn't be installed. Windows Update encountered an unknown error ( C1900101-40000D ). This message occurs after the WIN10 upgrade proces is at circa 40%.

The computer is dual booted; WIN7 x86 and Linux Ubuntu. This never gave any issues, but upgrading to WIN10 seems to be a problem?!? If so, then the specific computer will soon no longer run with Windows at all. This because I prefer Linux on that specific
computer, but it would be handy if a current Windows version would still be available on also that pc.

  4. Dual booting Win10 with Ubuntu linux - display driver problem

    Setup dual-boot Ubuntu alongside Win10

I've installed Kubuntu on my SSD. I can live boot the USB and see it installed there. However, No matter what I've tried I have not been able to boot the program from my SSD. There is a EFI partition. There is a ubuntu selection available in the boot menu.
Selecting it has no effect. The efibootmgr has ubuntu listed as first (I would change this latter to 2nd) but nothing seems to matter. Won't boot ubuntu. I am convinced this is a Microsoft issue, not a linux shortfall. Prove me wrong!
