Windows 10: hard drive damage after leaving lap top running for a few days

Discus and support hard drive damage after leaving lap top running for a few days in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; All of a sudden I was not able to get online or get into my office software.     All of a sudden I was not able to get online or get into my office software. I took my Dell Inspiron 5559 lap top into our local computer specialist. They ask me how often I turn off my lap top. I said about every 3 or 4 days or so. He told me that, that could damage the hard drive if I have a certain version of Windows 10. After he checked out my hard drive, he said it is damaged and the warranty is void because of how often I did or did not turn it off. Now he wants $300 to install the new hard drive and transfer all of the data. No one ever told me about turning it off every night. Has anyone else ever heard of that or am I bamboozled?

    Hard drive replaced and now lap top runs horrible!! Please Help

    I bought my HP lap top beginning of 2018. Ran great! My oldest son had dropped the lap top and the hard drive stopped working. Took my lap top into a local tech guy who replaced the hard drive for me and it hasn't run right ever since. What do I do?
    How can I fix my lap top?

    HP Lap Top Hard Drive replacement

    After installing Windows 10 in my hp lap top I have to replace the Hard Drive. I can get a new one for about $60 but my question is Do I have to install a new Windows program or is it built in? If so how do I go back to Windows 8.1 I do not want Windows

    FSX on a lap top

    I was given FSX as a gift and at that time I had a lap top with a disk drive that I could use. Now, my new lap-top does not have a disk drive but I saw in the box that it came with a product key. does this mean that I can download it on to my new lap-top
    with the product key? where can I do that?
