Windows 10: Problems recognizing m.2 after installation of windows

I'm going slightly mad and would love some help.

I got a Z390-F mobo and a Samsung 970 EVO m.2 SSD. Disconnected all other drives.

I've followed numerous guides, but it doesnt quite work all the way for me.


I have formatted the m.2 and converted it to gpt, and I have my windows 10 media creation usb.

I turned off legacy in the bios and made sure it's on uefi.

When I boot from the USB I get the windows installer to show up, and when I choose where to install windows I get the option to do so on the m.2, and everything goes well until it's time to restart to keep the installation going. I pull out the usb to prevent it from booting the installation again, and what happens is nothing. The bios will see the 970 in various places, but it will not boot the new installation of windows 10.


What am I possibly missing?

M.2 SSD no longer being recognized

Is the M.2 disk recognized on BIOS?
If it isn't, it's probably a hardware problem and you should as for a new in warranty.

If it's recognized on BIOS it's probably a corrupted software.
Boot from a Win 10 installation disk, launch a cmd window (Shift+F10) and type:
diskpart
list volume (take note of the letter assigned to your windows in the M.2 drive)
exit
sfc /scannow /offwindir=X:\windows /offbootdir=X:\ (replace X with the drive letter found with list volume)

My recommendation is to create a utilities disk Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 10 install not recognizing Samsung 850 Evo m.2 hard drive

I just built a PC from scratch and I'm trying to clean-install Windows 10 on the Samsung 850 Evo m.2 on my motherboard. This is my only hard drive connected. I'm trying to install via Windows 10 USB stick. When I get to the part in the Windows 10 install to select a drive to install Windows on, the list is empty. Any way I can get Windows 10 to recognize the m.2?
